An Opportunity Zone is an area that receives additional tax incentives for tourism and retail orientated businesses. These are needed not only in the LaSalle area but also throughout other parts of the city. Nonetheless, with the recent improvements and investments being made in the area of LaSalle, this extension would further prime the area for additional development and improvements.
