Proposed High Speed Rail System in USA

As travelers enter the United States of America, they're are not greeted with the amber waves of grain or purple mountain majesties as many preconceive. Instead they are ambushed by the blight around Whirlpool St. and the remnants of this building, the once heavily used U.S Custom House that served as one of the most utilized entry ports in the 19th century. Once the renovation and restoration is completed, this landmark will once again be flowing with travelers thanks to Amtrak and a new customs inspection facility. Additionally, the building will also serve as a Underground Railroad Interpretative Center for tourists as well as travelers. What is most intriguing is the inclusion of the station along the route of the proposed high-speed rail system that would connect Niagara Falls to New York City and Toronto, two major cities with millions of potential riders. What are your thoughts about this development?
